Welcome to Krueger Beck Kravitz Law.
Your Pacific Northwest estate, trust and probate lawyers.

Our Practices

  • Estate Planning

The process of organizing and arranging for the orderly management and disposition of your affairs and assets during your life and after your death.

  • Trusts

Trusts are another tool to consider in your planning, either in your will or in a Living Trust and are preferable to a guardianship in caring for your minor children.

  • Probate

The administration of the deceased’s estate by a court, pursuant to the terms of the will or, if there is no will, according to the laws of intestate descent and distribution.

Resources

  • The great thing about the Estate Planning process is that it can bring clarity to the components of future planning because you will:

Organize and arrange for the orderly management and disposition of your affairs and assets during your life and after your death.

Protect and distribute your assets: your real estate, investment accounts, retirement to art collection and coin collection.

Minimize legal and financial complications, fees and expenses, taxes, and most importantly, family conflict.

Having a solid estate plan can take the guesswork out of big decisions because you have proactively answered questions with which your loved ones will be faced. Estate planning can also be a testament to your legacy.

  • At Krueger Beck Kravitz, our basic Estate Plan can include a community property agreement (if one makes sense for your circumstance), Wills, Powers of Attorney for Finance and Health and Health Care Directive, and Cremation/Burial Funeral Instructions (if you have specific desires). A comprehensive estate plan will include tax planning and may involve various trusts, such as a credit shelter trust, living trust, trusts for descendants, and special needs trusts.

  • At Krueger Beck Kravitz, our legal assistant, paralegals, and attorneys can answer questions about the status of your Estate Planning documents or Probate process in which you are involved. Remember, only licensed attorneys can give legal advice.

  • Drafting an Estate Planning can take anywhere from weeks to months, depending on the complexity.

Drafts are sent to clients for review and changes, then edited for final execution. Depending on the complexity, this iterative process may take longer than usual, so there is no one size fits all answer for timing.

As a boutique law firm, our specialty is to meticulously craft documents that suit and fit the individual needs of each client, staying aware of the nuances that will reflect each client’s intention in his or her documents.

  • On our Resources page of our website, prospective clients can review the Guide to Estate Planning, and also download the Estate Planning Questionnaire which is a great tool to start gathering information that will be necessary to get the process started. Bringing the EP Questionnaire filled out to the first meeting is a great way to start the Estate Planning conversation with your KBK attorney.
